Someone on the inside
Booking a hotel is easy. Having someone at that hotel who knows your group is coming, and who owes an advisor a favor, is a different thing entirely.

What a preferred relationship is
Hotels and resorts maintain formal relationships with travel advisors. When a booking arrives through one of those relationships, it doesn’t land in the same queue as a reservation made on a booking site. It arrives with a name attached, from someone the property expects to hear from again.
ʻOhana Getaways holds these relationships through our affiliation with Fora Travel, which maintains preferred partnerships with hotels, resorts, cruise lines and tour operators worldwide.

What it tends to mean at the property
Benefits vary by property and are never guaranteed, but commonly include:
- A room upgrade when one is available at check-in
- Breakfast for two, daily
- A property or dining credit
- Early check-in and late check-out where the day allows
- A welcome amenity, and a note that your group matters
The unglamorous ones matter more than people expect. Rooms located near each other rather than scattered across three towers. A quiet word about the anniversary, so something arrives at dinner. A front desk that already knows one traveler is arriving at midnight.

Why it matters more for a group
One couple booking a room is a transaction. Fourteen rooms across six nights is a conversation, and it happens with a human being rather than a form.
That’s how you get rooms held while people decide. How the restaurant finds a table for eighteen on a Saturday. How a property tells you honestly that your dates won’t work well before you’ve committed to them — because they’d rather keep the relationship than fill the rooms.
Groups are also where things go wrong at scale. A relationship is what turns a problem into a phone call.

What we won’t tell you
That we can beat the price you’d find yourself. We can’t, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. You pay the same published rates. What changes is what surrounds them.
That every amenity is guaranteed. Upgrades depend on what’s free that morning. Late check-out depends on who’s arriving behind you. We’ll tell you what’s likely, and we won’t promise what a property hasn’t.
That we work with everyone. Some properties simply aren’t good for groups — the rooms are scattered, the dining can’t absorb you, the pool is too small for twenty. We’d rather say so than book it.

Tell us who’s coming.
We’ll tell you which properties actually suit your group, and why.
